Georg Gleeson

Georg Gleeson is a proud queer performer from Meanjin, Queensland.

In 2020 Georg completed their Advanced Diploma of Art (Musical Theatre and Commercial Dance) at the Australian Dance Performance Institute and Queensland College of Dance under the guidance of course director Jacqui Devereux. During their time there, Georg performed as a soloist in Weathering the Storm (dir. Penny Farrow) and Treading the Boards (dir. Tim Hill).

Since graduating Georg debuted as Peter Quince in Serpentine Arts Company’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and performed their self-derived Cabaret Becoming Georg in 10 Act Cabaret with The Head Bros. Right before moving down to Melbourne for Ordinary Days, Georg worked as Vocal Coach on Observatory Theatre’s production of Destiny Doomed.

On top of their performance career, Georg is a qualified digital marketer, and has worked with various performing arts schools and community theatre groups across Brisbane.
